Ana de Armas was the epitome of sophistication as she alighted in New York City on Monday.

The Cuban and Spanish actress, 34, wore a chic long-sleeved dress with a bow at the neck and a belt at the waist, along with a pair of gold open-toe heels.

The star is in town to promote her new movie Blonde and was pictured walking with the film’s director Andrew Dominik, 54.

The beauty pinned her dark brown locks back half way and adorned them with a pair of gold earrings.

Ben Affleck’s ex-girlfriend highlighted her gorgeous features with a hint of bronzer and gold eyeshadow.

Ana was seen chatting with Dominik as they walked arm in arm.

The New Zealand-born Australian film director looked stylish in a black suit jacket worn over a matching t-shirt, black trousers and sneakers.

She completed his outfit with black-rimmed reading glasses and wore his silver locks in a straight style.

The duo appeared to be in good spirits after their film was lauded by critics at both Venice and Toronto film festivals, with the actress already tipped for an Oscar nomination ahead of the awards season for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe.

Some critics found the film problematic, but no one quibbled over Ana’s performance as the legendary screen goddess.

The film charts a version of the screen icon’s rise from her humble origins as Norma Jeane Mortenson to the superstar actress known as Marilyn Monroe.

It takes dark detours through her history of substance abuse and the sometimes abusive relationships that men in power had over her.

Cuban native Ana previously admitted she struggled with her accent and worked with a dialect coach to prepare for the iconic role and to Monroe’s voice is correct.

‘It took me nine months of dialect coaching, practice and some ADR sessions [to get the accent right]’ she told the London Times, admitting: ‘It was a great torture, so exhausting. My brain was fried.’

The film’s cast also includes Adrien Brody as Arthur Miller and Bobby Cannavale as Joe DiMaggio.

The Netflix film, produced by Plan B, Brad Pitt’s company, will be available on the streaming service from September 23.
