Authorities find body near last location of missing 94-year-old Orange County woman

Officials with the Orange County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team announced that a dead body was found near the last known location of Shirley “Jean” Airth, a missing 94-year-old woman from Orange County.

Officials haven’t confirmed if the body was Airth.

The 94-year-old was last seen leaving her home in the 32000 block of Via Buena in San Juan Capistrano on Dec. 18, a news release stated.

Orange County Sheriff officials continue asking for the public’s help locating the missing woman.

The 94-year-old is described as approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with light gray hair and hazel eyes. 

She was last seen wearing a yellow and white shirt, a black sweater with white sparkles and was using a black cane. 

Officials also tweeted out a video of the woman on Dec. 19.
