Country music star Zach Lane Bryan named Ticketmaster in the title of his latest album and accused it of “robbing” hard-working fans.

The 26-year-old singer, whose album “American Heartbreak,” was number 5 on the Billboard 200 in May, announced his latest release, “All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster,” in an Instagram post on Sunday – taking aim at the infamous ticket company. sale.

Bryan also posted a lengthy explanation of why it took so long to set tour dates for the popular album: Ticketmaster’s hold on the ticket sales market made it very difficult for him to reduce costs for fans, he said.

“I think working class people should always be able to afford tickets to shows,” the Oklahoma native said in his Instagram post. “I’m so sick of people saying nothing can be done about this huge problem while huge monopolies are stealing money from working class people.”

The live album was recorded at a gig in Red Rocks, Colorado, and includes live performances of some of his most popular songs like “Something in the Orange” and “Heading South.”

Bryan joins a chorus of voices – artists, fans and politicians – who have called out Ticketmaster for so-called monopoly-like behavior.

In November, after many fans waited hours in a virtual line for tickets to Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour, the tickets listed on the site were far more than the average listener could afford. Some were resold on the platform for more than $40,000.
