If you are feeling brr-ave after Christmas there are three chances to plunge into the waves alongside crowds of other crazy swimmers!

Western Undercliff

The annual winter dip at the Western Undercliff in Ramsgate takes place on December 27 at  1pm.

Wacky hats and outfits suggested. After the dip it is all back to the Hotel Deville for a curry.

Ramsgate Main Sands

New Year’s Day dip in memory baby Joseph Brown and raising funds for Ronald McDonald Houses.

The Ronald McDonald house enables families with babies or children in hospital to stay at the house free of charge for as long as they need.

Meet on January 1, 2023, from 10.30am at the Queen’s Head pub in Harbour Parade ready for the dip from the main sands at noon

Hot soup and music from Two’s Company at the pub afterwards from 1pm

Sponsor forms available behind the bar

Medals for every dipper, you must complete a registration form

Best fancy dress outfit gets a prize.

Collection pots are on the bar to raise even more money for Ronald McDonald House Charities United Kingdom

Viking Bay

The Broadstairs New Year’s Day dip in aid of Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) will be back in force on January 1.

Organisers Jill and Kenny Connell say they are expecting more than 100 hardy swimmers to take the plunge.

Swimmers are invited to meet at The George Inn, Broadstairs by 11.30am ready for the dip at Viking Bay at noon.

Participants can donate in advance at justgiving page – Jill Connell is fundraising for Children’s Liver Disease Foundation; call into The George Inn for a sponsorship form or simply make a £10 donation on the day. All those taking part will be welcomed back to The George afterwards for some warming curry.
