FBM KLCI Trended Lower at Mid Day – BusinessToday

Bursa Malaysia ended the Wednesday morning trading session in negative territory with the main index FBM KLCI headed south by 7.05 points or -0.48% at 1,467.64 as compared to yesterday’s close of 1,474.69.

Analysts expect that the FBM KLCI to be traded in range bound in the short term until the year ends as market participants remain cautious.

At 9:00 am, the index opened marginally lower at 1,473.55

During the morning trading session, the index was traded in the range of 1,466.30 – 1,477.50.

Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 37.63 points, or 0.11%, to close at 33,241.56. The S&P 500 dropped 0.4% to settle at 3,829.25, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 1.38% to end at 10,353.23.

Top five active counters for the morning session were Top Glove, Vinvest Capital, Cypark Resources, Berjaya Corp., Global Oriental.

Top five gainers were Batu Kawan, Allianz Malaysia, United Plantation, Ibraco, Apollo Food.

Whilst top five decliners were Malaysian Pacific Industries, PETRONAS Dagangan, Hextar Technologies, Nestle Malaysia, Genetec Technology.
