Jets quarterback Zach Wilson had a terrible game against the Patriots in Sunday’s 10-3 loss and he may not get a chance to recover in Week 12.

Head coach Robert Saleh said at his press conference Monday that the team is not currently committed to starting Wilson against the Bears. Mike White has backed Wilson in recent weeks and Joe Flacco started in the first three games of the year when Wilson was out with a knee injury.

“Everything is on the table,” Saleh said.

Wilson was 9 of 22 for 77 yards and was sacked four times during Sunday’s loss. He then said he didn’t feel he had let down the defense and his overall reaction to the poor display reportedly angered teammates. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson said the team needs to get better at the passing game because they can’t lose games when the defense won’t allow a touchdown.

That response from the dressing room will likely be part of Saleh’s train of thought when he names a starter this week, and the fact that the Jets are considering a change is a clear example that things aren’t going as planned for the second overall pick have run the 2021 draft.
