Laura Woods loved watching Arsenal in their Boxing Day win over West Ham United and had an eventful day on Twitter.

The talkSPORT Breakfast host is an Arsenal supporter and expressed his joy at their return to the Premier League.

Arsenal beat West Ham 3-1 despite falling in the first half, but goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah helped the Gunners to victory.

And Woods took to Twitter to celebrate the success, tweeting her joy at the result and the overall energy around the performance.

She began her tweet with praise for Ben White, who had a positive overall performance and was heavily involved in Nketiah’s goal, which was Arsenal’s third.

“Ben White is magic,” Woods tweeted full-time, praising the right-back, who had to leave England’s World Cup camp earlier than he would have liked.

She then added to the Tweet, praising the performance of the whole squad and sharing her happiness that former manager Arsene Wenger was at the Emirates Stadium to watch the game.

Later in the responses, former Love Island contestant Charlie Brake – an Arsenal fan himself – took a chance on getting Woods out to dinner with him, but was turned down.

He responded to Woods’ original Tweet with, “You’re magic,” which she was grateful for, before Brake replied with, “Dinner? »

Woods, still cheeky, replied “I’m not hungry, but thanks”, turning down Brake’s offer.

Arsenal top the table, seven points clear of Newcastle United and eight ahead of defending champions Manchester City.
