As the premium automaker prepares for its electrified future with futuristic concepts like the L100the Corsair SUV version 2023 benefits from a redesigned face, a more technological interior and an update to its suite of driving aids.

Compared to the outgoing model, the grille takes up more space on the front bumper, the side air intakes are higher and closer to the headlights, while a horizontal chrome bar has been added above the bottom center opening. The rest of the bodywork – including the rear – remains largely unchanged, setting aside new designs for the alloy wheels and two additional shades in the color scheme.

Inside, the highlight of the facelift is the larger 13.2-inch standalone touchscreen on the center console, replacing the old 8-inch unit and incorporating the new SYNC4 infotainment. It’s still paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, but with revised graphics for a high-tech look. A large amount of physical controls have been removed, allowing the center console to be reduced and storage spaces to be increased.

The new ActiveGlide 1.2, which has been introduced in the flagship Lincoln Navigator, brings new ADAS features including hands-free lane change assist, repositioning assist and enhanced predictive speed assist. Finally, the optional automatic air freshening system monitors the air quality and filters particles of dust, smoke, etc.

The 2023 Lincoln Corsair is only available with two powertrain options, after dropping the 2.3-liter turbocharged from the range. The choice is now limited to 250 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder or block plug-in hybrid with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor for a combined output of 290 horsepower. The former comes in 2WD and 4WD versions with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the latter brings e-AWD capability with a CVT gearbox.

Like its predecessor, the facelifted Corsair will be produced in Lousiville, Kentucky. The first copies of the Corsair are expected in early 2023, with a price range ranging from $38,690 for the entry-level to $53,385 for the top-of-the-line plug-in hybrid Grand Touring.
