OnePlus 11 gets 4 January debut in China, first photos revealed
To ring in the new year, OnePlus has decided to tease its fans with more information about the OnePlus 11.
In China, the OnePlus 11 will see a 4 January 2023 online unveiling at 2.30PM (China timezone). The company hasn’t said anything about a global release, which typically comes after it announces in its home market.
Based on the drip-fed information on its Weibo page, the OnePlus 11 will carry a true flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, at least 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 4.0 storage, with the option to go up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Other features teased on its Weibo page are the phone’s “360° surround antenna”, which is said to provide good mobile data good connectivity regardless of the phone’s orientation. Further boosting connectivity is a new network technology dubbed Game Cloud Computing Private Network (roughly translated), which mitigates high ping latency and stabilises connectivity in “weak network environments”.
OnePlus said its new rear appearance is inspired by a black hole, where the left-aligned camera housing rounds up all its camera lenses in the same fashion as Huawei’s Space Ring design that debuted three years ago.
Other OnePlus products that will likely make it debut together with the OnePlus 11 includes a new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 true wireless earbuds, offering noise cancellation of up to 48dB volume.
