Fans are ecstatic for her return (pic: Twitter)

It’s only been a month and Twitch’s Pokimane is ready to get back to streaming later this week.

Just over a month ago, Twitch’s Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys announced that she would be taking a break from streaming for the sake of her mental health.

She never indicated now long it would be for, but there were signs that she would come back soon when she became active on Twitter again last week.

On her personal account, she promised she’d announce her return date shortly, as well as revealing that she has a new streaming room. Now, she’s confirmed that her comeback stream is happening this week on Thursday, September 1.

She’s since clarified exactly what her fans can expect from the stream. For the first hour, she’ll simply be chatting with her audience, where she’ll likely provide updates on what she’s been doing for the past month or so.

She’ll then be playing online shooter Valorant for the next few hours, before moving onto multiplayer management game PlateUp! with some fellow streamers.

Being a professional Twitch streamer is a tough gig given the need to provide constant content to an audience. It’s why many have admitted to struggling with burnout.

Pokimane herself is aware of this. When she announced she would be taking a break from Twitch, she wrote ‘Proper breaks are essential to one’s health/career longevity.’

She expressed gratitude for having an understanding and supportive audience, that meant she could afford to take a hiatus.

It helps that she’s Twitch’s most popular female streamer. Even after her admittedly brief hiatus, she’s still boasting 9.2 million followers on Twitch and 6.68 million subscribers on YouTube.
