In this article, you will get all information regarding Queen Camilla Donned Brooch With Sweet Link To Anne And Charlotte

Members of the Royal Family can often be found at Ascot, and Queen Consort Camilla looked delighted to attend the racing events over the weekend. Dressed in a blue tartan coat, brown boots and a furry hat, Camilla topped off her outfit with a stunning brooch.

The horseshoe-shaped brooch is emblazoned with the name “Minoru” and adorned with glistening precious stones.

Diamond expert Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone said: “Featuring diamonds, rubies and sapphires, Camilla’s brooch is certainly an impressive piece.

“The diamond-set letters spell out ‘Minoru’, which was one of King Edward VII’s most successful racehorses – making it a particularly sentimental jewel.

“Though how the brooch fell into Camilla’s possession is unknown, press clippings from the time period of Minoru’s victories in the early 1900s state that King Edward VII commissioned several jewel-studded scarf pins, which makes the Queen Consort’s brooch an incredibly historic piece.”

“In tribute to her great-grandmother, Princess Charlotte also recently wore a brooch in the shape of a horseshoe to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

“With all of this in mind, I’d estimate Camilla’s brooch to be worth approximately $15,000 (£12,675).”

While many royals are racing enthusiasts, Princess Anne is known in particular for her love of all things equine.

She competed in an Olympics as an equestrian, and she also hosts equestrian events at her Gloucestershire estate of Gatcombe Park.

Princess Anne’s gold horse brooch was thought to have entered her possession in the 1980s, and she has worn it on countless occasions since.

And it seems Princess Charlotte is also interested in horses, as the late Queen was thought to have gifted Charlotte the horseshoe brooch she wore to the royal funeral in September.

Camilla’s decision to wear the Minoru brooch can be seen as a touching tribute to the Royal Family she is now head of state alongside King Charles.

But it also has links to Camilla’s own family history. Camilla’s great-grandmother Alice Keppel was King Edward VII’s last mistress, and he was known to be devoted to her until he died in 1910.

Camilla often wears brooches, just like the late Queen did, and she has amassed an impressive collection of her own.

Camilla will likely don some royal jewellery later today when she hosts a State Banquet with King Charles in honour of the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at Buckingham Palace.

At the formal event, Camilla and other working royal women are expected to wear tiaras for the first time publicly since 2019.
