Former President Donald Trump has claimed that the FBI agents who searched Mar-a-Lago made off with his last will and testament.

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, Trump addressed the Aug. 8 FBI-authorized raid on his Florida home that ended with the seizure of more than 11,000 documents. Of these files, 103 were marked as secret, including 54 as “secret” and 18 as “top secret”.

But Trump, who has denied misusing sensitive materials, said his will may have gotten lost in the mix.

“You took a lot,” he said to Hannity. “I think they took my will. I found out yesterday – I said where is it? I think they took my will.”

Trump seemed to brush past the joke, saying, “That could cause a lot of problems if that gets published, by people who aren’t going to be so lucky — or maybe very lucky.”

Trump also said he declassified sensitive documents and stated that this trial requires no more evidence than a president’s thought.

“You can break the secrecy just by saying it’s declassified, even if you think about it,” the former president said. “Because you’re sending it to Mar-a-Lago or wherever. And it doesn’t have to be a process. There can be a process, but it doesn’t have to be. you are the president You make that decision. So if you send it, it will be released.

The interview aired after Trump’s legal team received a rebuke from Special Judge Raymond Dearie, who was appointed to review the records seized at Mar-a-Lago. Dearie challenged Trump’s attorneys after they refused to provide evidence supporting the declassification.

“You can’t have your cake and eat it,” Dearie said.

On Wednesday, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals granted a motion by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to continue reviewing the seized documents. That decision halted an order by US District Judge Aileen Cannon halting the Justice Department’s investigation.

The three-judge panel, consisting of two Trump-appointed judges and one Barack Obama-appointed judge, wrote that Trump “did not even attempt to show that he needed to know the information contained in the classified information,” nor did he “prove that the.” current administration has waived this requirement for these documents.”
